For a 4 fold add Hearts:

1 point – Hearts @ 9/5

Pig Flaps

It’s been a rough start to the season and the Pig is flapping a bit – there are not many leads in the Scottish Leagues this year and a lot of inconsistency.

Fear not. Given the level playing field in a lot of the leagues, I’m favouring some larger priced picks this week, and also in the Scottish Cup the juniors seem a bit under-rated.

Firstly we’ll go for Queens Park away to a Spartans side who are mid table in some pishy league near the borders. Opportunity for Queens Park to get back on track. Dundee Utd can do likewise away to Queens and their recent blip at Alloa has gave us a bit more value.

To complete an attractive Tasty Treble I’m going for Talbot to cause a shock against Cove Rangers. Talbot have shown they’re a match for Lowe Scottish League teams, put Cove out last year and are at home. It’s a bit of a punt but 4/1 is too much.

For a 4 fold, im Duffy’s Dumbarton can continue recovery with a win at Stranraer.

Four more away picks at higher prices all worthwhile – Morton, Livingston, Forfar and Linlithgow.

Enjoy! ?

1 point – Queens Park @ 17/20
1 point – Dundee Utd @ 4/5
1 point – Auchinleck Talbot @ 4/1
1 point – Dumbarton @ 5/4

1 point – Morton @ 21/10
1 point – Livingston @ 16/5
1 point – Forfar @ 4/1
1 point – Linlithgow @ 3/1

Partick Bristle to continue recovery

Not too many picks today, (maybe a good thing on recent form…), but still a Tasty Treble to feast your eyes.

First up in the Championship I’m taking Partick to continue their recovery at home to Queen of the South. Queens are unpredictable but Partick should be too strong for them, they’ve been held back by the fraud that is Gary Caldwell and with him gone their new management team of McCall and Archibald can expect to do much better.

Secondly, in league 1 I’m going for Clyde at home to Montrose. They seem to be really coming on to a game, and even with Goodwillie, I expect them to beat a stubborn Montrose.

Lastly, I’m going to tentatively stump for Queens Park. I still believe they are a strong side, but they have lost their way of late. Hopefully a return to form today against an Annan side who are not the team they were last year.

That’s your Tasty Treble – eat it up!

Dundee just make the cut for a 4 fold, but only at minor stakes as their price has narrowed too much. Ayr, Raith, Stenny all come close but not quite worth it.

2 points – Partick @ evens
2 points – Clyde @ 5/6
1 point – Queens Park @ 6/5

0.5 points – Dundee @ 7/10
