Saints Alive!

Should be a tight game tonight, and Kilmarnocks plastic pitch will certainly help them to bridge the gap.

However Saints as underdogs at 21/10 is a value bet.

1 point – St Mirren @ 21/10

Pigure of Eight

A busy day in the lower leagues with excitment at fever pitch as the split brings up various play off, promotion and relegation battles.

Going for a few shorter priced selections today. Gus has steadied the shiop at Morton and they will be desperate to find a way to win against an Alloa side who are already relegated. I’m making an exception of takng them at odds on here. Likewise with Thistle, who are one of Scotlands form teams. I think wee McCall has them on their way to winning the league and I don’t expect Airdrie to stop them today. Also in Division 1 I’ll tentatively take Falkirk. They have been dreadful of late, but a new manager gives them a fresh start and a great chance of still winning the league and/or promotion.

Elsewhere there are a further 5, (five), selections at very healthy odds. Raith and Dumbarton are outstanding value against a bumbling Dundee and an indifferent East Fife respectively. They could make a hugelyt priced 5 fold. Add the other three and retire.

Good luck folks! ?

1 point – Morton @ 4/5
1 point – Partick Thistle @ 19/20
1 point – Falkirk @ 7/5

1 point – Raith Rovers @ 3/1
1 point – Dumbarton @ 7/2
1 point – Inverness @ 9/2

Minnows to upset the odds

For those of you who missed yesterdays cashfest, don’t despair!

There’s more to come, with some generously priced Premiership selections. Another strongly fancied treble – only 20/1 tonight though.?

Kilmarnock, Ross County and Hamilton are all desperate for points, as they scrap to avoid relegation. They are up against 3 teams with nothing much to play for and Scottish Cup football to look forward to. Only Killie are favourites but the other two can be had at good prices. St Mirren have a skeleton squad going to Dingwall. Hamilton have Motherwell on their plastic pitch, and while Motherwell may be stronger, they haven’t beaten Hamilton in the last 6 attempts, and were soundly thrashed on the last two meetings.

Tuck in!

1 point – Ross County @ 2/1
1 point – Kilmarnock @ 11/10
1 point – Hamilton @ 21/10

Pre-split Special

High drama as the lower leagues play last games before split and we have a high earner for you tonight.

In League 1, Airdrie and Montrose are both generously priced. Edinburgh City even more so League 2, albeit against a strong Stirling side.

A tasty 30/1 treble, with every chance of coming up. For more value, Peterhead could just spring a shock at home at 4/1

1 point – Airdrie @ 7/4
1 point – Montrose @ 9/4
1 point – Edinburgh City @ 9/4
0.5 points – Peterhead @ 4/1

Sunday Roast

After un an unproductive Saturday, Celtic could make up the losses by winning at Ibrox at 21/10. A lot will depend on the outcoems of late fitness tests to Forrest and Travernier however the Old Firm is a pretty even match up so 21/10 is worth a punt.

1 point – Celtic @ 21/10

Pigging Sheep Again

Aberdeen came good for us last week and I think they are value again today against the wretched Livingston. All things considered, you wouldn’t expect to see 13/10 for Aberdeen at home to Livingston. They’ve not had a great season but they are still 4th in teh league and have far stronger line up than Livingston. They also have something to play for, Livi have very little.

East Fife and Falkirk in League 1 make up the Tasty Treble. Normally I’d be looking at Peterhead here, but East Fife can get into play-offs, Peterheads season is over. Massive game at Cove, Falkirk should be right up for it. That’s your Tasty Treble folks!

Add Queen of teh South to really bump the value for a 4 fold. Couple of small stakes on Edinbugh City could to shock a Queens Parek side who’ve already won the league, and Ayr might just edge a tight game at Arbroath.

Tasty Treble
1 point – Aberdeen @ 13/10
1 point – East Fife @ 23/20
1 point – Falkirk @ 8/5

The Rest
1 point – Queen of the South @ 14/5
0.5 points – Edinburgh City @ 18/5
0.5 points – Ayr Utd @ 5/2

Dons to show their Glass

Pick of the day for me is Aberdeen. St Johnstone have been consistently strong since the turn of the year but the new manager boost at Aberdeen should be able to bring the best out of a group of players that are simply better than the Fake Saints. Once again, no crowds is our friend here, with the home advantage bias affording us 27/10 on Aberdeen getting Glass off to a winning start.

Same principle but not quite as good value down at Fir Park. Contrast the sharply dressed class act in charge at St Mirren with the ragged looking jakey currently running Motherwell and I don’t think home advantage justifies Motherwell the favourite tag. Saints are worth taking at 2/1 to edge it for a fourth Fir Park win in a row, (albeit one of them was on penalties in cup).

To make a very Tasty Premiership Treble, we’ll add Hamilton at home to Dundee Utd at 13/5. Hamilton are a nuisance for anyone the last couple of mmonths, and Dundee Utd have been unimpressive this season, they don’t dseserve to be favourites in a game that doesn’t mean much to them, but means everything to the dogged Acccies. 13/5 is good value.

Any one of those 3 sees us in a decent position but all 3 could come in at almost 40/1! Yum.

Elsewhere, Raith should come through at home to Arbroath and can be had at 6/5. And I particularly like the 17/2 on offer on Dumbarton at Cove Rangers. Worth a small risk.

Tasty Treble:
2 points – Aberdeen @ 11/4
1 point – St Mirren @ 2/1
1 point – Hamilton @ 13/5

Others:
1 point – Raith Rovers @ 6/5
0.5 points – Dumbarton @ 17/2
