Porkers Picks – 18 Sep

Very cautiously going for a shot-shy Aberdeen against the dour St Johnstone but balancing this with a short correct score bet on nil nil. The sheep are hugely dominant in matches but need to find a way to score.

Inverness are good value against a Dunfermline side who are already losing patience with Peter Grant, if they ever had any patience for the underwhelming appointment to begin with.

Making up Tasty Treble is Airdrie at home to East Fife.

Couple of longer priced shots make up a five fold. Partick Thistle and Alloa are both decent sides in their leagues capable of winning – roughly 5/2 each makes them value plays.

Lastly Dumbarton are a nice big price away to Falkirk after a 5-0 demolition of East Fife. It’s worth a small wager at 11/2.

Tasty Treble:
1 point – Aberdeen @ 13/10
1 point – Inverness @ 8/5
1 point – Airdrie @ 11/10

Fab Five
1 point – Partick Thistle @ 13/6
1 point – Alloa @ 5/2

Stragglers
0.5 points – Dumbarton @ 11/2
0.5 points – Aberdeen-0-0 @ 7/1

A Good Night in Vienna

I’ve had enough of Scotland being shite. We have a squad now that is worth at least a couple of hunner million, top players in the Premiership, we have never been in a stronger state. Aside from a couple of matches, the drab performances rolled out by Clarkes team are inexcusable but I am willing to take a chance on them finally pulling it together at 9/2. On paper we have better players.

1 point – Scotland @ 9/2

Kiddies Diddy Cup Exit

Only 3 kiddies teams left in the Diddy Cup – and I’m betting on all 3 going out – Simples!

Should be men against boys, especially for the Championship teams. Don’t usually go for short odds on teams but here we make an exception. Albion Rovers slightly more risky against a decent St Mirren youth side but should still be taking care of them and some fairly large sums being placed on the Exchange on Rovers…

That’s my Tasty Treble. Add Falkirk at 5/1 away to a Kilmarnock side who may feel that the Diddy Cup is beneath them. Falkirk look a decent outfit this year.

Tasty Treble:
1 point – Albion Rovers @ 9/10
1 point – Morton @ 6/10
1 point – Arbroath @ 9/20

Fab 4th:
1 point – Falkirk @ 5/1
